“A community is measured by how many people notice when you're not there.”
Ours is a walking-distance shul: most of our two hundred families live within fifteen minutes on foot, and on a Shabbat morning Hawthorn Road fills with prams, walking frames and teenagers pretending not to know their parents.
Founded in 1994 by a handful of families who wanted a minyan closer to home, Chabad of Caulfield North has grown into a full-week community: daily minyanim, a kollel of young men learning each morning, women's classes, a busy youth department and a kitchen that produces a legendary cholent.
Rabbi Shmuel Berkowitz and the Rebbetzin would love to welcome you — for Shabbat dinner, a class, a simcha, or just a cup of tea and a chat.
From weekly Shabbat dinners to Torah classes, youth programs and holiday events.
Three minyanim a day, with a hot breakfast after Shacharis and a shiur between Mincha and Maariv.
